Ronald J. Anzivino 74 of Sutton, a Vietnam Veteran died October 13, 2018 surrounded by family at UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester. Born in Providence, RI, he was the youngest son of the late Rocco and Giovene (Zinni) Anzivino.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Patricia (McGauley), with whom he shared his life for the past 42 years. He leaves two sons, Michael Moore and Christopher Anzivino, along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Anzivino and his sister Carol Savastano.
Ronald was a member of ROTC at Providence College where he earned a bachelor’s degree in economics graduating in 1966. Ronald then enlisted in the US Army and served in Vietnam until his discharge in 1968. Ronald and Patricia made Sutton their home for the last 26 years and were members of St. Mark’s Church.
Ronald spent his working life as a salesman for area car dealers, he was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching the Patriots and Red Sox, and he loved spending days at the beach with family. His greatest love was his family, who will miss him dearly. The family would like to thank the transplant team as well as all the staff who cared for Ronald at UMass hospital.
Calling hours for Ronald will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 4-7pm at the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME 370 Plantation St. Worcester. Ronald’s funeral Mass will be celebrated with military honors on Thursday at 11am at St. Mark’s Church 356 Boston Rd. Sutton, MA 01590. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
