Ronald H. Robertson, Sr., 88, of Auburn, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021, at the home of his daughter, while surrounded with love. His loving wife of sixty-six years, Pauline T. (Gosselin) Robertson, predeceased him in February 2020.
Ronald is survived by three sons, Ronald H. Robertson, Jr. and his wife Carrie of Boynton Beach, FL, Michael J. Robertson and his wife Jennifer of Newburyport, MA, and Derek P. Robertson and his wife Christine of Auburn; two daughters, Susan M. Todisco and her husband Nicholas of Shrewsbury and Claudine A. Murphy and her husband Thomas of Auburn; two brothers, Edmund Robertson of Auburn and William Robertson of Worcester; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Carol Hale and Evelyn Johnston. Ronald was born in Worcester, son of the late, Harry B. Robertson and Mary (Nichols) Thomas. He served proudly for many years in the National Guard. He and Pauline resided in Worcester, where they raised their family before moving to Florida in 1999, returning here in 2019.
Ronald worked as a machinist for over thirty years for Heald Machine, before retiring in 1989. Ron was an avid sports fan who enjoyed following the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics and horse racing. He enjoyed socializing, playing cards and dominoes with family and friends. Being surrounded by the love of his children and grandchildren was one of his greatest joys. He and Pauline were members of St. Henry Parish, where he served as an usher while they resided in Florida. He was also a member of the Alhambra Knights of Columbus for many years.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 20, at 10 a.m. in Saint Anne’s Church, 130 Boston Turnpike Road (route 9 east), Shrewsbury. There are no calling hours. Guests are respectfully invited to gather directly at church. Interment will be held privately.
Social Distancing and current mask policies will be practiced while inside the church.
