Rosemary Wing

Rosemary (Petraitis) Wing, 78 of Worcester, passed away August 31, 2023 in Lutheran Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center.  Her beloved husband of 52 years, Francis J. Wing died in 2018.

Rosemary was born in Lithuania on June 9, 1945, and the daughter of the late, Jonas & Anna (Tumosaityte) Petraitis.  She was a graduate of Commerce High School.  Rosemary worked as a nurse’s aide for 35 years for Lutheran Rehab and Skilled Center in Worcester. 

Rose loved doing puzzles and playing her slot games. She liked meeting at McDonald’s for breakfast with her friends then afternoon coffee at Dunkin Donuts. 

Rosemary is survived by her two sons, John F Wing and his wife Jennifer of Worcester and David J. and his wife Cynthia Wing of Barre, two grandsons, Brandon Wing and his wife Georgia of Worcester and Ryan Wing of Barre . 

Special thanks to all of the doctors and nurses at the UMass Cancer Center and The Lutheran Home for taking such great care of her. 

Funeral services for Rosemary will take place at the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. Worcester.  Calling hours will be from 4-6pm on Thursday September 14, 2023, with a funeral service to be conducted at 6 pm.  Burial will be private for the family at a later date.
