Rosibel (Alvarado) Lovejoy

Rosibel “Rosi” De Los Angeles (Alvarado) Lovejoy, 35 of Leicester, a devoted wife and mother passed away Sunday, October 25th, 2020 with loved ones at her bedside while fighting a long battle with Leukemia.

Rosibel (Rosi) is survived by her devoted husband Steven R. Lovejoy, two children, Michelle Alvarado and Jacob W. Lovejoy, a step child, Steven A. Lovejoy all of Leicester; Her four sisters Marina Alvarado, Nubia Alvarado, Anabel Alvarado, Adelia Alvarado and her two brothers Juan Alvarado and Darwin Alvarado all in El Salvador; several nieces, nephews, and many extended family members including her mother in law; Antoinette Lovejoy and close dear friends, both here in the U.S. and in El Salvador.

She was born on February 4, 1985, in San Vicente, El Salvador a daughter of the late Maura Alvarado.  Rosi immigrated to the United States at the age of 24, with the dream of working and raising a family.  Rosi was a loving mother, who was fun and full of laughter.  She put her family first and their well-being and success were always first in her mind. She had a diligent work ethic and worked at the Telegram and Gazette, Mexicali, the TJ Maxx Company and it was when she worked at the Telegram and Gazette, she met “The Love of her life, Steven Lovejoy” and on March 1, 2013 they married and spent the next 7 years dedicated to each other and their children. She also loved cooking, gardening, dancing, bowling, basketball and most especially her new home in Leicester, MA.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours Sunday, November 1, from 3 pm to 6 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St.  Funeral service will be held Monday, November 2nd at 11 am in the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery.  The family requests that flowers be omitted, and remembrances made to the benefit of her young children, care of Webster First Federal Credit Union,  275 Greenwood St. Worcester 01607.   COVID 19 restrictions, mask and social distancing will apply.  To watch the service live stream, visit www.mercadantefuneral.com   and click on live services.
