Salvatore Paladino

Salvatore (Sal) Paladino, 75, peacefully departed this earth on December 8th, 2021. He passed away in his own home under the extraordinary care of his two sons and daughter-in-law Robin, as were his final wishes. Sal was born in Worcester, to Francis and Carmela (Gentile) Paladino. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade High School and worked as a Master Electrician alongside his brothers in IBEW Local 96 until his retirement. Sal married his sweetheart Jacqueline (Coyle) Paladino and together they raised three wonderful sons and were blessed with two cherished grandchildren. Family was of the utmost importance to Sal and he placed them above all else. Sorrowfully, Sal was predeceased by his wife Jackie and son Salvatore Paladino Jr. Sal is survived by his two devoted sons, Anthony Paladino and his wife Robin, his son Nicholas Paladino, all of Holden area. He also leaves his grandchildren, Sunny Paladino, Brooke Paladino and her mother, Faun Houghton Additionally he leaves behind a sister-in-law Susan (Coyle) Trafacante, His sisters Margaret Barry and her husband John, Constance Cooney, Carole Kelly, Frances Fitzpatrick, and Dona DeSantis and her husband Lou. he was predeceased by his sister Delores Peters-Paladino. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Sal was an avid sports gamester, also enjoying other hobbies including cooking, golf, fishing, as well as spending time with his friends and family. Sal will always be remembered passion for telling stories, his generosity and his open door policy, cooking up a feast for friends and family on the holidays. All were welcome in the Paladino household, especially those in need or going through a hard time. He will be dearly missed by his large family and countless friends. May he always be remembered in our hearts.

Calling hours for Sal will be Sunday, December 12, 2021 from 1-4 PM in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Planation Street, Worcester with a funeral service to follow at 4 PM in the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, the family request all donations in Salvatore’s memory be made to the Veterans Inc., 69 Grove Street, Worcester MA 01605 or online to https://www.veteransinc.org/donations/.
