Sandra (Mysliwicz) Genduso

April 5, 1962 — October 17, 2022

Sandra J. (Mysliwicz) Genduso, a lifelong Worcester resident, passed away Monday, October 17, 2022, with her devoted family gathered at her bedside after being stricken ill at home. She was 60 years of age and joins in heaven her son, Bryan Hamel who passed away in 2018.

Sandra was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Chester J. and the late Grace (Doherty) Mysliwicz. She graduated from Holy Name High School, and attended the University of Massachusetts.  34 years ago, Sandra met Steven M. Genduso and in May of 1991 they married and began a life devoted to each other and their children. 

Sandra is survived by her love, Steve. Her two daughters, Jessica Hamel and her husband Joshua of Adams, TN and  Leah-Anne Genduso of West Palm Beach, FL and son Michael Genduso of Auburn. She will be missed by her siblings, Chester Mysliwicz of Gardner, Thomas Mysliwicz of Canton and Patricia Gibbons of Spencer. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Lucca and Holland Hamel, her father in law, Joseph “Joe” Genduso Jr. of Worcester, brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Sandra a stay-at-home mom, who cherished her family, her home and supporting her family, was passionate about people, loved her kids, her friends, and her community. She notably was very respectful to the Police over years. She routinely would make a point of dropping a cup of coffee, water or anything to a police officer working on the street. She would also thank them for their service  as she passed. Sandi enjoyed cooking, arts, crafts, and traveling with Steve to Las Vegas and Sanibel Island Florida. She liked simple things including any/all Peeps products, love to read all books, including mystery novels, but most of all was the "Baby Princess" of the family and let everyone know it.

A period of calling will be held Saturday, October 29th from 12 to 3 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral service will follow at 3 pm. Burial in St John’s Cemetery will be private.
