Sarah Ann (Zalneraitis) Carragher

Sarah Ann (Zalneraitis) Carragher, passed away on February 22, 2024, after a brief illness. Sarah was born to Herbert Zalneraitis, Jr., and Eva Roettger on September 23, 1975. 

Sarah is survived by her husband, Christopher Carragher; her stepchildren, Audrey, and Thomas; her sisters, Johanna (Paul) and Rebekah (Kevin) and brother, Ryan (Christina); her father, Skip Zalneraitis and her “Dad,” Lance Roettger; her nieces, Emily and Sophia and her nephews, Anthony, Tyler, and Nick; her mother-in-law, Maureen Spelman (Cliff); aunts, uncles, cousins, many extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Eva Roettger. 

Sarah and her many silly faces could always make us laugh. She was always very animated and that was an endearing quality that allowed her success in the hospitality and sales industries. She lit up a room, not only because she was beautiful, but she was a bright light with a big smile and exuberant personality. We will miss her beyond words and wish we could have had many more years with her.

We would like to thank the ER and 3 ICU team at UMASS for taking amazing care of Sarah and showing so much support to us during her hospitalization. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester from 5:30pm to 7:00pm, with brief prayers beginning at 7:00pm.
