On Monday December 12, 2022, Sharon R. (LaViolette) Wilson, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away at age 73.
Sharon was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Richard J. and Yolanda D. “Ollie” (Corvino) LaViolette and had lived here the remainder of her life. She graduated from Saint Stephen’s High School and attended Becker Jr. College.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband of fifty-five years, James F. Wilson; Her three children; Her daughter, Kimberly A. Wilson, and her partner Steve Perez of Worcester; two sons, Richard B. Wilson, and his wife Tracy, and Benjamin J. Wilson, and his wife Stacy, all of Auburn; her sister, Linda J. LaViolette Driscoll and her husband Arthur R. Driscoll, II of Treasure Island, FL; as well as the lights of her life, three grandchildren, Morgan T. Wilson, Steve Perez Jr., and Hunter J. Wilson.
Sharon had an incredible work ethic that she showcased to anyone around her working as a Legal Secretary/Office Manager at the law firm Burns & Farrey for over 35 years, retiring in 2020. She loved those who she shared time with at work. She frequently attended Saint John’s Church.
Above all, Sharon loved her family. She believed that family was the greatest treasure of all. She was the “Captain of The Ship”, the matriarch of her family, and truly the human embodiment of a firecracker. She loved being surrounded by her family, whether it was enjoying a beach read during her annual stay at the beach house in Brewster on Cape Cod each June with her children and grandchildren, celebrating one of their birthdays together with their unique song, or even just dinners every Sunday. She loved keeping up with her television programs, which were always set to be recorded even if she couldn’t watch right away. She was her very own well-seasoned food critic as she loved going out to eat and trying new restaurants, the time spent in the car on way there was just as special for her.
Sharon was always known for her quick wit, generous spirit, and loving heart that she passed on to anyone who was lucky enough to be around her.
