Sheila M. (Flint) Degalis, 76, of Worcester, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Memorial Hospital in Worcester. Her husband, George W. Degalis, Jr. predeceased her in November 2019.
Sheila is survived by her best friend and daughter, Nicole Degalis; a son, George W. Degalis, III; four step-daughters, Debra Degalis, Sabrina Grant and her husband Neil, Susan Evans, and Pamela Bost and her husband Dale; seven grandchildren, Juliana, Jayden, Riley, Isabella, Gianna, Sophia, and Jordana; a great granddaughter, Ava; close family friends, Michael and Cassandra DiGiulio and their children, Lorenzo, Angelo, Ava, and BobbieLee, who were like grandchildren to Sheila; her dog Jupiter; nieces and nephews. Sheila was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Alfred H. and Shirley M. (Brown) Flint and has lived here all her life.
Sheila was a waitress for over twenty years at The Boynton in Worcester, having previously worked at Hahnemann Hospital. She enjoyed Bocce at the IAVC in Shrewsbury, scratch tickets, going to the Berkshires, Old Orchard Beach, Aruba, and being with her grandchildren.
Services will take place on Saturday, February 3, in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, with Calling Hours 12 Noon until 2 p.m., followed by a Prayer Service at 2 p.m.
