Sherry A Leketa

June 15, 1974 — January 19, 2022

Sherry A. Leketa, 47 Worcester – Sherry A. Leketa, 47, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Worcester on January 19, 2022. She was the daughter of Anthony F. Leketa, Senior of Gambrills, Maryland, and Carol A. Dailida, of Worcester.

Sherry was born at Fort Belvoir, Virginia but she grew up in Boylston, and graduated from Tahanto Regional High School. She also attended Worcester State College. She was previously employed by Staples Corporate Headquarters in Framingham, Massachusetts, and most recently worked as a medical assistant with Charles River Medical Associates. After living in Upton and Northbridge, she moved to Worcester where she resided with her two sons and mother.

During her formative years, Sherry was a star athlete, playing field hockey in high school, and then after graduation, participating in several regional softball leagues. She loved the beach, music, participating in outings with her extended family, was an accomplished baker and cook, and talented artist. Sherry had a positive outlook on life and always made solving problems fun. She enjoyed a good time and worked to have those around her have fun as well. She was also a very hard worker and was loved by the many coworkers and the patients she cared for at Charles River Medical Associates where she worked in Hudson, Ma. Sherry could always be counted on to lend a helping hand and was the first to drop everything to take care of others when they needed her. Sherry selflessly donated her time to various organizations, giving aid to runners in the Boston Marathon, and as a front-line worker during the pandemic.

Sherry is survived by her father and his fiancée Victoria Lehr, her mother, her two sons, Nathan Anthony Satkauskas and Evan William Satkauskas, her four siblings Stacy A. Mongeau, her husband Chris, of South Hadley, Massachusetts; Sonya A. Crane, her husband Eric, of Penacook, New Hampshire; Sara A. Leketa, her wife Lisa Addario, of Hopkinton, Massachusetts; Anthony F. Leketa, Jr his wife  Allison, of Duluth, Georgia; and her dear friend Mary Ellen Mulholland, Wilmington, Massachusetts. In addition, she leaves several aunts and uncles, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. We will all miss Sherry tremendously. She had a huge, vibrant personality, a larger-than-life outlook, and a positive effect on those around her.
