Shirleen M. Coakley

Shirleen Mary Coakley, 69 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2023.

Shirleen Mary Coakley was born on July 30, 1953, in Lake Hurst, NJ, one of seven children to the late Robert J. and Maureen (Murphy) Coakley.  She graduated from Holy Name Catholic High School in Worcester.  Shirleen worked at Verizon Phone Company for 24 years.

Shirleen leaves her fiancé, Michael Lopriore; three sisters and three brothers, Cheryl A. Auger and her husband William, Donna M. Roberge and her husband Mark, Robert J. Coakley and his wife Ruth, Michael J. Coakley and his wife Lisa, Maureen M. Coakley and Paul L. Coakley and his wife Michele.  She also leaves fourteen nieces and nephews, twenty-six, great nieces and nephews and 2 great great nieces.

Shirleen and her fiancé vacationed at Hull Beach with many great friends.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to a period of calling hours Friday, July 28, 2023 from 10-11 am with her funeral service to begin at 11:00 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester.  Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
