Sister Sheila (Minor) Hagler, 59, of Worcester, went home to her Lord, Tuesday, December 6th, 2022.
Sister Sheila was born is Tuscaloosa, Alabama, December 3rd, 1963. Raised and educated in Alabama, Sheila was the daughter of Mason and Bobbie (Ball) Minor and lived there until moving to Worcester at the age of three years old.
Shelia is survived by her husband and love of over 20 years, Reverend Barry C. Hagler; a son, Quahean Minor, Sr., of Worcester and a daughter, Dawn Frances of Lowell; a sister, Kiara Harris of Alabama; three grandchildren, Quahean Minor Jr., Destiney, and Angel; two great grandchildren, Quahean Minor III and Eszme Minor: She also leaves behind three brothers Trampis, Cedric & Jeffrey Ball: extended family members and friends.
Sister Sheila with a kind heart, bright faith with a deep faith, who loved to sing, was a dedicated member of the Second Baptist church. She directed and guided its Youth Department and Choir over the years. Sister Sheila loved children and got so much joy counselling, guiding troubled and young minds. She loved to travel notably to her home in Alabama, and always dressed impeccably when she went to church and out.
A period of calling hours will be held Monday, December 19th from 10:30 am to 12 noon in the Second Baptist Church, 14 Hammond Street Worcester, followed by her funeral service at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances in her name can be made to The Second Baptist Church, 14 Hammond St. Worcester. The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St is honored to assist the family.
