Stephen J. Sclamo, 67, of Worcester, passed way on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at UMass Hospital. His loving wife of thirty-five years, Donna M. (McLaughlin) Sclamo, predeceased him in May 2013. He was also predeceased by a son, Anthony Sclamo in August 2015.
Stephen is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Sclamo; three sons, Stephen J. Sclamo, Jr., Christopher Parzych, and David S. Sclamo and his wife Stephanie, all of Worcester; his pride and joy and only grandchild, David S. Sclamo, Jr. of Worcester; three brothers, Joseph V. Sclamo, Jr. and his wife Tamela of Worcester, Marc A. Sclamo and his wife Kelly of Auburn, and Michael Sclamo and his wife Anissa of CT; two sisters, Joanne Mallett, and Donna M. Sclamo, both of Worcester; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Giacobbi and Patricia Hewins. Stephen was born in Worcester, son of the late, Joseph V. and Dorothy (Racienski) Sclamo and has lived here all his life.
Stephen was a steel worker at Wyman-Gordon Company for thirty-eight years, before he retired. He was a member of the Steel Workers Union, local 2285, the Eastside Improvement Club, and an associate member of Italian American Veterans Post 3.
He enjoyed being with his family and was very proud of his grandson, who was the apple of his eye.
Calling Hours will be on Thursday, December 12, from 4 pm until 7 pm in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, with a Funeral Service following at 7 pm.
