Sunny Ramanbhai Patel (Hitesh), 51, of Bellingham, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 12, at Milford Regional Hospital, from Covid-19 complications.
Sunny is survived by his loving wife of twenty-four years, Priti; their three daughters, Viha, Arya, and Tulsi Patel; his mother, Manjulaben Ramanbhai Patel of Delaware; two brothers, Bipin R. Patel husband of Dipti Patel and Minesh R. Patel husband of Jyothsna Patel, both of Delaware; his mother in law, Usha Suryakant Patel of Shrewsbury; two sisters in laws, Nima Patel wife of Tushar V. Patel of New Jersey; Gopi Patel of Bellingham, and many loved nieces and nephews. Sunny was born in Kampala, Uganda, son of the late Ramanbhai Harmanbhai Patel, he graduated college in London, later moving to the United States in 1997.
Sunny was a chartered accountant and entrepreneur who used his acumen to help him develop new ideas with passion. He was known as the previous owner of Larry’s Package Store and a community leader thru many of his charitable works. Sunny enjoyed golfing and cricket. He was fond of western movies, listening to music and loved to be surrounded by family and friends.
Calling Hours will be on Thursday, March 18, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Traditional funeral services will be held privately for the family.
For the safety of everyone, Covid protocols including social distancing and the use of face masks will be in practice at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to a go fund me page for his three daughter’s college trust fund at Sunny Patel's Children's Education Trust Fund.
