Susan J. (Metcalf) Bauman a devoted mother, sister and friend passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018 in Saint Vincent Hospital after a brief illness. She was 62.
Susan was born July 9, 1955 in Worcester and was the daughter of the late Edwin C. Metcalf and Terese A. (Tonona) Metcalf. She was a graduate of St. Marian High School and attended Fitchburg State University. Susan worked as a senior clerk at the Worcester DPW Sewer Operations for over 22 years.
Susan is survived by her two sons, Matthew Bauman and his partner Brandon Warren and Scott Bauman and his girlfriend Joy Rhinehart all of Worcester; her two sisters, Karen E. Manduke of Worcester and Debra J. Ruggiere and her husband James of Worcester; a niece, Megan Higgins and her husband Rich; a nephew, Nicholas Manduke and his wife Kayla. She also leaves her longtime companion, Jeff Ford.
Susan enjoyed dancing and owned Dance Unlimited. She enjoyed spending summers at their family home in Cape Cod. Family adventures, being outdoors, taking walks, watching amazing sunsets and sunbathing on the beach were among her favorites things to do. Most of all, Susan cherished her family and friends. She will be deeply missed as much as she was loved by her family and numerous friends whose lives she touched.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Susan touched are invited to MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester from 4:00 p.m. to 6: 00 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2018. Susan’s funeral service will be celebrated following calling hours at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be held privately.
