Susan M. Perodeau

Susan M. Perodeau, 74 of Worcester, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.

Susan was born on the Feast of St. Nicholas to Therese L. (Martin) and Henry R. Perodeau and was a lifelong resident of Worcester. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy and attended Worcester State Teachers College. Susan was a beautiful singer, lending her voice since grammar school to many churches in the area for weddings and funerals and in their choirs. She was a member of “The Worcester Chorus” for over 30 years. She also helped with the Firefighters Benefits with Andy Yess for many years. Susan was also a notary public for over 30 years.

Susan is survived by her three sisters, Judith Perodeau-Maurice and her husband Ovide of Anson, ME., Deborah J. Ryan of Worcester and Theresa M. Doyle of Worcester; a brother, David P. Perodeau and his wife Dasha of Worcester; many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to a period of calling hours on Wednesday, August 21st from 10-11 with a funeral service at 11:00 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Humane Society, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or to a charity close to your heart.
