Tanios “Tom” Kahale, 57 of Worcester, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Monday, July 26, 2021.
Tanios is survived by his three children, Peter Kahale, Kristina Kahale and Michael Kahale; his father Wadih Kahale; siblings Jacqueline Ventriglia, Houda Daou, Yvette Aboody, Samira Shalhoub, Elie Kahale, George Kahale; many nieces/nephews; extended family and friends. Tanios is predeceased by his brother Dori Kahale and his mother Georgette (Yanni) Kahale.
Tanios was born in Beirut, Lebanon and came to Worcester at the young age of ten, graduating from Doherty High School where he began long lasting friendships and a passion for football. He later attended Worcester State University before transferring to Northeastern University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering. Tanios was the proud owner and operator of Bagels and Kabobs for many years before his retirement. He was an active member of the community where he never thought twice about helping others. Tanios was always the life of the party. His dance moves and smile will never be forgotten.
A period of calling hours will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021 from 9-11 am followed by his Funeral Mass to begin at 11:00 am both at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 341 June St., Worcester. His burial will follow at Hope Cemetery, Worcester. MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
