Theresa Parretti

Theresa B. (Bodinizzo) Parretti, 89, of Worcester, passed way on Saturday, October 16, 2021, surrounded by loving family in the comfort of her home.

Theresa is survived by her loving husband of sixty-five years, Robert F. Parretti; a son, Francis P. Parretti and his wife Theresa of Worcester; two daughters, Karen M. Cerullo, wife of the late Brian A. Cerullo of West Boylston, and Sandra T. Taubert, wife of the late James C. Taubert of Sterling;  five grandchildren, Kimberly, Julie, Dominic, Joseph and Jessica; her daughter Maria’s long-time companion, Vincent Tiscione of Leicester; many nieces and nephews.  Theresa and Robert experienced the pain of losing their daughter, Maria Parretti in 2016; and a granddaughter, Kayla Marie Taubert in 2001.  Born in Worcester, Theresa was the last of eight children of the late, Pasquale and Nicolette (Cappabianca) Bodinizzo.  Her predeceased siblings are, Peter, Michael, John, and Joseph Bodinizzo, Mary Tomasiello, Frances Walkowiak, and Annette Pellegrino.

Theresa worked for many years as a procedure clerk in the Worcester District Court, before retiring.  She was a member of Our Lady of The Rosary Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and gathering the family during the holidays. She especially enjoyed the traditional Italian Christmas Eve where upwards of 60 friends and family would gather for the Feast of the Seven Fishes. She enjoyed playing BINGO, watching game shows and socializing with her friends at the Mount Carmel Golden Years Club.

Calling Hours for Theresa will be on Thursday, October 21, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester.  Her Funeral will be on Friday, October 22, departing the funeral home at 9:35 a.m., in procession to at 10 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of The Rosary Church, 23 Fales Street, Worcester.  Interment will follow at Saint John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
