Thomas J. Gentile, 65, of Worcester, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at the Hermitage in Worcester.
Thomas is survived by two daughters, Carolyn M. Gentile and Amy L. Gentile; a son, Eric T. Gentile, all of Worcester; two grandchildren, Israel A. Gentile and Khloe L. Lucier; four brothers, Wayne Gentile and his wife Rose of Worcester, Dennis Gentile and his wife Katherine of Rutland, Robert Gentile and his wife Gloria of Jacksonville, FL, and F. Barry Gentile and his wife Susan of Worcester; three sisters, Linda Gentile of Ft. Lauderdale, Kathleen Rauktis and her husband J. Peter of Worcester, and Christine Martin and her husband Robert of Paxton; many nieces and nephews. Thomas was born in Worcester, son of the late, George C. and Carolyn (Hurney) Gentile, and has lived here all his life.
Thomas worked for various construction and contracting companies and was very talented with his workmanship. He was a member of Saint John’s Church and was very giving and generous. Worcester Magazine once called him “The Man of LaMancha” because he continued to dream big and chase the rainbow, no matter the course in life. He enjoyed fixing cars and had a strong affinity for Ford cars and anything John Deere.
A Memorial Funeral Mass for Thomas will be held on Tuesday, July 31, at 10 a.m. in Saint John’s Church, 44 Temple Street, Worcester.
There are no calling hours.
