Thomas Trudel, 95, of Boylston, MA passed away July 18, 2022 at the home he built 68 years ago, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Gloria (Lopriore); cherished father of David Trudel (Lenora), Brian Trudel (Claudia), Joan Trudel O’Connell, Jean Pustis (Robert) and John Trudel (Barbara); loving grandfather of Angela Sutherland (Vincent), Emily Trudel (and her partner Aaron Berube), Thomas Trudel, Kerry O’Connell, Dana Lippman (Matthew), Elise Trudel-Cedeno (Edward), Michael Trudel, and Stephen Trudel (Sarah Berns). He also leaves a great-grandson, Eastyn Cedeno, and two sisters, Dorothy Jodray and Rita Prentiss, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Thomas was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Marion (Rebidue) Trudel, and seven of his siblings.
Thomas was a proud WWII veteran of the Army Air Corp. During his life he earned a degree in Airline Mechanics from Wentworth Institute and worked as a Construction Supervisor for The Lauring Construction Company, Inc., contributing to the building of many commercial structures in the Worcester area. His favorite pastime was golfing with friends and family, most often at Juniper Hills in Northborough. He most enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and extended family. He also enjoyed adventures in travel, poker, trips to the casino, bowling, playing horseshoes, and riding the waves at the beach. Thomas liked going to Fenway Park to watch the Red Sox play. He also followed the Patriots and most other types of sporting events. He was a member of St. Mary of the Hills Parish in Boylston for 68 years.

Friends may call on the family on Saturday, July 23 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St, Worcester. Thomas’ funeral service will follow the visitation in the funeral home at 12:00 PM. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery & Mausoleum, Worcester.
