Timothy C. Scavone

November 19, 1954 — August 1, 2020

Timothy C. Scavone, 65, of Northborough, passed away at far too young an age on Saturday, August 1, 2020, at UMass Hospital, while surrounded by loving family.

Timothy is survived by his loving wife of twenty years, Michelle M. “Miki” (Lacerte) Scavone; two sons, David V. Scavone and his wife Jessica of Rutland, and Stephen J. Scavone and his wife Anna of Worcester; four wonderful grandchildren, Angelo, Lola, Dylan, and Colton Scavone; his first wife and mother of his sons, Donna (Camarra) Scavone of Worcester; eight siblings, James Scavone of Florida, Patrick Scavone of West Boylston, Charles Scavone of Charlton, Philip Scavone of Florida, Michael Scavone of New York, Martha Durette and Anne Scavone both of Narragansett, RI, and Elizabeth Trumble of Worcester.  He endured a pain that no parent should experience when his son, Timothy C. Scavone, Jr. passed away in August 2011.  He was also predeceased by two brothers, Daniel and John Scavone.  Timothy was born in Worcester, son of the James J. and Elizabeth A. (Donohue) Scavone and was a graduate of Saint Peter’s High School and WPI.

Tim had a nickname for EVERYONE and was lovingly known as “Headly Lamar” among friends and family and as “Grumpy” to his grandchildren.  He loved to be with people, especially his children and grandchildren.  He was the life of the party with his quick wit and wealth of knowledge.  He loved a good time and enjoyed classic rock.

During high school and college, he played lacrosse and football and continued playing well into his adult life.  He was an enthusiast when it came to teams in New England and was such a dedicated fan of the Patriots that he left a vacation early to attend a playoff game for “his team”.

He was proud of his large collection of team jersey’s.

Tim was a civil engineer and construction supervisor for his company, Scavone Excavating, having previously worked with his family in their construction company, Scavone Associates and Scavone-Cali.  He enjoyed being close to God and attended Mass at Our Lady of Angels Church.
