Valentino Perrone

Valentino Perrone, 62, passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 in the comfort of his home.

Valentino is survived by his children, a daughter, Rosaria Perrone and her girlfriend Krystal Cosme of Massapequa, NY; two sons, Antonio Perrone and his wife Alexys Gonelli-Perrone of West Boylston, Angelo Perrone and his girlfriend, Melanie Simonini of Worcester; his former wife and mother of his children, Erminia Ginese; six brothers and two sisters in Italy; and many nieces and nephews whom he adored. Valentino was born in Acri, Cosenza, Italy, son of Antonio Mariani and Rosaria Murano.  He moved to Germany in his twenties, later moving to Worcester in 1988. Valentino worked as a handyman/mason for the Worcester Public School Department for 12 years where he flourished. 

A simple cup of coffee brought a smile to Valentino’s face. He enjoyed soccer and followed his favorite team, AC Milan making him a true “Milanista”; but truly adored watching the soccer games his son, niece and nephews played. He enjoyed spending time with his Acrese friends at The Bond Farm where they would often keep up with the Italian traditions of making sausage and homemade wine together. Above all, Valentino’s children were his whole world. He loved traveling with them and was happiest when surrounded by them. 

Calling Hours for Valentino will be on Monday, February 19, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester.  His Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, February 20, departing the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. in procession to an 11 a.m. Funeral Mass at Saint John, Guardian of Our Lady Church, 80 Union Street, Clinton.
