Velma E. Davio

March 17, 1939 — April 3, 2024

Velma E. (Gosselin) Davio, 85, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 3, 2024 at Jewish Healthcare from congestive heart failure.

 

She is survived by her loving daughter, Tammie Marengo; and her Godchild, Susan Todisco.  She joins her husband, Richard Davio, her parents, Paul and Marie (Bourque) Gosselin, her son-in-law, Joseph J. Marengo, Sr.; two brothers, Louis and David Gosselin; and two sisters, Rita Maki and Pauline Robertson in Heaven

 

She was born in Worcester and lived here all her life.  She owned Sbrogna’s Auto School in Worcester and later worked for Perro’s Auto Sales and Service in Worcester and Auburn, retiring to care for her mother.

 

Tammie would like to thank the kind people at the Jewish Healthcare for their compassionate and loving care of Velma, while she was staying there.

 

There will be a Calling Hour on Tuesday, April 9, from 10 a.m. until her Funeral Mass begins at 11 a.m. in Saint Anne’s Church, 120 Boston Turnpike Road (route 9 east), Shrewsbury.  Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
