Victor "Flaco" M. Lopez

Victor “Flaco” M. Lopez, 53, of Worcester, passed away on Friday, January 24th 2025, surrounded by his loved ones after battling cancer for several years.

Flaco is survived by his son Victor M. Lopez Jr., of RI; two brothers, Audeli Lopez and his wife Sarah of Worcester; Arbin Lopez and his wife Samantha LaCroix and their daughters, Kailani and Rayne of Leicester; three sisters, Elsie Jenkins, Irma Gonzalez, and Milagros Ramos, all of Worcester. He also leaves behind the Albino family, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who he all cherished. He was predeceased by his stepfather, Franciso Jimenez, and two brothers, Franciso Jimenez Jr. and Anthony Jimenez.

Flaco was born in Corozal Puerto Rico and is the late son of Ismael and Gloria E. (Quiles) Lopez. He grew up in Worcester where he attended South High School. 

He took pride in being a father and was very proud of his son’s achievements. He worked as a mechanic throughout his life, before becoming ill. He spent most of his days repairing cars, modifying sound systems, and attending car shows. You could almost always find Flaco driving around in his green Corolla, blasting reggaeton, or spending time with his beloved Corre Camino family, with a Dunkin's coffee and bagel in hand.

Flaco loved everything about his culture and being Puerto Rican. He will be remembered for the gratitude he had for life each day, and the loyalty and kindness he shared. 

 "Although it is with great sadness that he leaves us, we are certain he is in heaven with his mother, Gloria, who he absolutely adored and missed."

Calling Hours will be on Friday, February 14, from 10 am until his Funeral Service begins at 12 Noon in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Interment will follow at Hope Cemetery in Worcester.
