Wilfredo Colon

Wilfredo Colon, 75, of Worcester, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at UMass Hospital with his family at his side. 

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Maldonado; two sons, Wilfredo Colon and Eric Colon; two daughters, Carmen Colon and Ivelisse Colon, all of Worcester; six grandchildren, Luismael, Thomas “Topo”, Rochelly, Stephanie, Jalaneise, and Jalisa; four great grandchildren; a brother, Guillermo Colon in Puerto Rico.   He was predeceased by two brothers, Josian and Marcos Colon.  He was born in Aibonito, Puerto Rico, son of the late, Marcos Colon and Lydia Burgos.

Wilfredo was a business owner of  Panaderia y Reposteria San Marcos, while living in Puerto Rico.  Upon moving to Worcester, he worked as a handy-man.  Wilfredo loved his family, enjoyed listening to music, and watching baseball.  He will be love forever by his family.

Calling Hours will be on Sunday, June 10th, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester.  His Funeral Service will be on Monday, June 11th, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.  Saint John's Cemetery on Cambridge Street will follow.
