William C. Feraco, 83 of Holden formerly of 202 Plantation St., Worcester, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 in the comforts of his own home surrounded by the ones he loved the most, his family.
Bill was born in Norwich, Connecticut one of thirteen children to the late Frank and Mary (Sauro) Feraco. He was a graduate of Worcester Vocational High School and later received his electrical certificate from ACTE. Bill served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Bill worked as a master electrician for 40 years at Wyman Gordon and prior to that for Amorello Construction. He was a longtime member of Our Lady of Loreto Church and the Knights of Columbus both in Worcester. Bill enjoyed his many trips to Foxwoods and the dog track. He was an avid New England sports fan who never missed a game. He especially loved watching the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots, and playing cribbage with his grandson, Bobby and his nephews.
Bill was a tremendous host who never let anyone leave his home hungry or without something to take with them. He had a great sense of humor, was generous and kind at heart. Bill truly lived to do everything for everyone else around him no matter what it took. He loved his family and took great joy in the times he shared with them and the wonderful memories that were made over the years. All of his wonderful traits were inherited by his family and will live on through them forever.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the nursing staff at Jewish Healthcare Hospice and especially to Bill’s granddaughter Jacquelyn for the loving care and compassion given to him on his final days.
