William A. "Billy" Hinson, Jr.

William A. “Billy” Hinson, Jr., 41 of Worcester, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 2, 2022.

Billy was born in Worcester and has lived here all his life.  He is a graduate of St. Peter Marian Central Catholic Jr/Sr High School, Class of 1998 where he excelled on the varsity football team.  He furthered his education in the post graduate program at Worcester Technical High School.  Billy worked as a self-employed electrician until recently taking a position at Momentum Solar Company.

Billy made many friends along the way; he was just the kind of person who drew people in.  He had a great sense of humor and never lost his childlike spirit. Billy loved working out and playing football with his son Jaxson, running his beloved dog Max on the beach, and always enjoyed a good game of cribbage.  In addition, he cherished scary movie nights with his son Carter. Anyone who knew Billy knew that he loved his boys more than anything.  

Billy is survived by two sons, Jaxson and Carter Hinson; his parents, William A. Hinson, Sr. and Sandra J. (D’Acri) Hinson of Worcester; a sister, Jennifer Keating and her husband Thomas of Worcester; a niece, Julia Keating; his beloved dog, Max; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  Billy is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Edward and Dolores (Potenti) D’Acri.

Services for Billy will be held on Monday, January 10, 2022 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Worcester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. John’s Church, 44 Temple St., Worcester.  Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester.  Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Sunday, January 9^th from 3-6 pm in the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St., Worcester, MA. 01606
