William "Bill" Peters

William G. “Bill” Peters, 61, of Shrewsbury passed away Saturday, March 14^th, 2020, with his loved ones gathered at his side after an accident. 

Bill was born in Worcester, the son of William M.  and Mary R. (Giorgio) Peters.  He graduated from North High School, and Quinsigamond Community College. Always a people person, Bill found his passion in technology sales.   He was a Sales Account Executive for Hewlett Packard Inc. company for the past 3 years.  He previously worked many years at Lenovo and Toshiba companies. 

Bill is survived by his wife, partner and “Love of his life” for the past 26 years, Catherine M. “Kate” (Cosmo) Peters;  his two children, Danielle A. O’Rourke and her husband Michael of Millbury and Michael A. Peters of Shrewsbury; a sister, Catherine “Cathy” Arcure and her husband James; Brother, James Peters and his wife Debra all of Worcester; two grandchildren he  cherished, Abram and Aria; his mother in law, Catherine (Walsh) Cosmo; Nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. 

Bill was a member of St George Orthodox Cathedral.   An individual with a big heart and huge circle of friends.  Bill was an enthusiastic golfer, life of the party, and die-hard New England Patriots fan. Most importantly, he loved being with his family and friends.

Due to the covid-19 outbreak, calling hours are being postponed to a later date.  His funeral service will be held privately.  Burial will be in Mt View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.   Memorial remembrances in his name can be made to the Leukemia Department care of Dr. Chen, Massachusetts General Hospital, 55 Fruit St, Boston, MA 02114.  MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
