William M. Piscillo, 91 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 16, 2024 at home with his family by his side. He is welcomed into heaven by his daughter, Karen Alicandro who passed in 1983, siblings, Anthony Piscillo, Grace Peterson, Mary Martocci and Albina Imbrogno and his companion of 44 years, Elsie R. Morris.
William was born in Worcester, a son of the late Michael and Angelina (Ritacco) Piscillo. He grew up in Worcester where he worked in his younger years as the assistant manager of the former Warner Theater. William worked for the City of Worcester water department and later as a machinist for Norton Company for 27 years, retiring in 1990.
William served his country during the Korean War for the United States Army. He was a devout catholic and a man of God who loved Jesus and was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at Our Lady of Loreto Parish. William was a member of the YMCA in Westborough. He was the de facto “Chief Inspirational CEO” of his son Mark’s business, Victory Bar & Cigar always providing a positive attitude to the atmosphere.
William is survived by his two children, Mark Piscillo of Worcester with whom he lived with and Kellie Piscillo of Shrewsbury; three grandchildren, Shannon, Tiffany, and Josiah; nine great grandchildren; Elsie’s son, Craig Morris of Dudley; many nieces and nephews including his niece, Frances Peterson who was also his longtime caretaker and dedicated her love and time to the well-being of her uncle; many extended family members and friends.
William’s family would like to extend their deep gratitude to his longtime aides, Navitad Aybar and Makaliah Browne for the outstanding care and compassion they gave him over the years.
Services will be held on Tuesday, September 24th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with a procession to Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Rd where his funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September 24th from 9:30-10:30 am in the funeral home prior to departure for his funeral Mass.
