Zachary David Covello

Zachary David Covello, 33, of Worcester, a gentle loving son, brother, uncle and nephew who had a huge heart and a hardworking young man, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep Thursday, April 15^th, 2021, joining in heaven his father David F. Covello, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Zachary was born in Worcester on July 12, 1987, the son of Saiyood (Luangyotha) Covello and the late David Covello.  He graduated from St Peter-Marian Class of 2005, and accepted a position working alongside his Uncle Tony for the University of Massachusetts Medical School where he truly enjoyed his job and seeing his uncle every day for the last 15 years.   They had a special bond to each other.

Zachary is survived by his mother, Saiyood with who he lived; his brother, Jacob Covello, and his wife Danielle of Worcester; a nephew, Benjamin; Numerous, Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and friends.  In addition to his father, his paternal grandparents Samuel and Barbara (Brunelle) Covello and Cousin Matthew Covello,  all predeceased him.  

Zach was a member of St John’s Church and a huge Pittsburg Steelers Fan.  A dedicated family man who cherished his family, especially looking out for his mother.  He loved and treasured his brother, sister-in-law, and nephew.  He was at his happiest times when he was around his large family; his aunts, uncles and cousins were extremely special to him.  The holidays, special occasions and anytime he could be with them were the most important times in his life. 

Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family during calling hours Monday, April 19^th from 4 pm to 8 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St.  His funeral will be held Tuesday, April 20^th from the funeral home with a procession to St Johns Church, 44 Temple St where his Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am.  Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in his name can be made to St Johns Food Pantry, 44 Temple St Worcester 01608.
