Amie M. (Etre) Marchese, a resident of Grafton, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at the age of 46, following a courageous 8-year battle with breast cancer.
Amie possessed a bold and vibrant spirit, with a laugh to fill a room. Born and raised in Worcester, she was the beloved only child of Ronald and Kathleen (Kesseli) Etre and grew up in a close-knit extended family. After graduating from Holy Name Catholic High School, Amie earned her bachelor’s degree from Salve Regina University. She then completed her paralegal program at Northeastern University, afterwards working as a paralegal for several law firms before joining her father at Etre Builders, where she was a real estate manager and bookkeeper. Most recently, Amie worked as a real estate investor, buying, restoring, and reselling homes, which she was very passionate about.
Amie held a deep affection for spending time on Cape Cod and the surrounding islands, where she enjoyed boating and relaxing on the beach with her family. Gardening, baking, cake decorating, shopping, and traveling the world were among her many interests. She looked forward to her annual “winter escapes” to Florida and vacationing with her husband and three sons in New Hampshire. Amie cherished her Friday date nights with her husband, Sunday dinner and Patriot games and all the other big gatherings with friends and family, especially on Halloween and around Christmas.
Above all, Amie’s family was her world. As a devoted mother, she was her children’s biggest supporter, cheering them on every step of the way and ensuring they were surrounded by love and joy. Amie and her husband worked tirelessly to provide the boys with a strong foundation of unwavering family support.
Amie will forever be remembered by her loving husband, Jeffrey M. Marchese; her three sons, Massimo D’Errico, Gianni D’Errico and Luca Marchese; her parents, Ronald and Kathleen (Kesseli) Etre; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and extended family who will miss her dearly. She joins in heaven her grandparents, Albert and Madeleine (Chamberland) Etre, and Paul and Patricia (Hamilton) Kesseli; and uncles, Robert Etre and Peter Kesseli.
The memory of Amie’s vibrant spirit and her immense love for her family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and cherished her.
