Ann Marie “Anni” Dell’Olio, 55, passed away unexpectedly on February 19, 2023 after a long history of addiction.
Anni is survived by her parents, Leone N. and Barbara A. (Dumas) Dell’Olio of Auburn, her sister, Gina Marie Dell’Olio of Worcester, and her brother, Neil Joseph Dell’Olio of Berlin, Germany, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Anni up grew up in Worcester and Shrewsbury, she graduated from Shrewsbury High School. She was a happy and amusing child, adored by her family. Growing up she was a collector of beads, baubles, recipes, and all things purple. Her passion later in life was cooking and felt most comfortable in the kitchen where she frequently cooked with her dad. Her specialties were eggplant parmigiana, Italian cookies, Christmas cookies, pies and holiday meals.
Anni took pride in working in the kitchens of several local institutions including the Worcester Art Museum Café and Abby’s House in Worcester.
Anni’s happiest moments were at home with her dogs and cat, listening to music, and taking vacations at the beach. She enjoyed making bracelets and necklaces with beads and other crafts. Anni was known as a funny, generous, and warm person, who always put the needs of others before her own. Despite life’s problems, she always found a kind word and a smile for those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Our family is grateful to know that Anni is finally at peace.
Calling Hours will be on Wednesday, March 15, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Burial will be private.
