Brian J Mahoney, Jr

Brian J. Mahoney, Jr, passed away on July 19th, 2023, at home in Keene, New Hampshire. Brian is survived by his parents, Brian and Deborah Mahoney of MA; his sisters and their families, Carrie "Charlee" Freeman and Aaron Terranova of CT, Victoria, and Tony Laffond and Bobby Jo Wetteland of MA, Kristen and Gustavo Torrealba of FL, and Dawn and Nick Murphy of NH. He leaves behind a large extended family of cousins, aunts and uncles, nieces and
nephews, and friends he considered family from around the country. Brian spent his life making other people laugh, and his greatest happiness came from helping his family when they needed him. Brian's struggles in later life were difficult, but he faced them with dignity, strength, and the support of his family. Brian loved to play acoustic guitar and would learn to play anything we asked for by ear. He loved to fish, and some of his best times were spent in a boat, casting lines and laughing with
friends and family. He could talk about almost any subject and loved a good conspiracy theory. Brian was brave, kind, considerate, and is a loss to those who knew and loved him. He will be missed terribly by all of us and by his cat, Zeus, who was with him when he passed. There will be a remembrance service from Mercadante Funeral Home, 370 Plantation St, Worcester, MA, on Thursday, August 10th, at 7:00 pm. A calling hour will be held from 6:00 pm to 7:00 before the Funeral Service. Friends and family are all invited immediately following the service at Tatnuck Post on Mill St in Worcester, MA.
