Deborah Racicot

Deborah J. Racicot, 64, of Worcester passed away on October 18, 2022, at UMass Memorial Medical Center, after a battle with cancer, with the family she loved gathered at her bedside. Deb was born in Worcester on December 6, 1957. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 36 years, James W. Racicot Sr., along with her parents, Anthony & Hazel Bronzo. Deb is survived by her sons, James W. Racicot Jr. and Richard A. Racicot, both of Worcester; her two brothers, Anthony Bronzo Jr. and his wife Patricia of Hampton, NH, and Dennis Bronzo and his wife Linda of Hollywood, FL. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews, as well a close group of friends who became family. 

Deb was a lifelong resident of the Grafton Hill neighborhood in Worcester. She was a graduate of the North High Class of 1975. Post-graduation, she honorably served in the Air National Guard. Following the birth of her sons, she embarked on a career in marketing and sales management for multiple companies in the food industry. She later worked as a financial services representative for PNC bank. 

Deb loved to spend her time surrounded by friends and family. She was always up for a trip to the casino, a day of shopping with friends, and enjoyed dining out with the people closest to her. She was proud of her collection of angels, which gave her great joy as each angel had its own story. Deb’s family and friends will forever remember her thoughtfulness, as evidenced by the special cards that were sent for every and any occasion. 

The Racicot family would like to acknowledge and give thanks for the care, comfort and compassion Deb was given by the doctors, nurses, and staff at UMass Memorial Health Cancer Center. 

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, October 25th from 9:00 – 11:00 AM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Deborah’s funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at the conclusion of calling hours, followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Scar Hill Rd, Boylston.
