Dora A. (DeSantis) DeFeudis, 102, of Cambridge formerly of Worcester, passed away Friday, January 6, 2023, in the comfort of her home. She is reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Domenico DeFeudis, who predeceased her in 1951.
Dora is survived by her dedicated and loving daughter, Donna DeFeudis Hollinger and her husband Peter; two grandchildren, Domenic DeFeudis and his fiancé Clara Mikaeil, and JonCarlo DeFeudis; her daughter in law, Nancy C. DeFeudis; many nieces and nephews. Her son, Michael E. DeFeudis, pre-deceased her. She was the last surviving of nine children born to the late, Emmanuele and Marguerite (DeToma) DeSantis.
Dora was born and raised in Worcester and graduated from the former Commerce High School. She later moved to Harwich, where she resided for over twenty years, before moving to Cambridge in 2004 to be near her daughter. Dora worked for many years for New England Power.
Dora was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church when she was in Worcester and Holy Trinity Parish in Harwich. She enjoyed studying genealogy and anything to do with family; as well as learning about the lives of saints and modern day religious nuns and priests. She was a talented seamstress and loved to cook and watch cooking shows on television.
There will be a graveside service for Dora on Friday, January 20, at 11:30 a.m. in Saint John’s Cemetery, Section Saint Rose, Worcester. There are no calling hours.
There will be a Memorial Service at a later date.
