Gail “Mimi” (Bean) Brodin, 77, of Worcester, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at the Jewish Healthcare Center, with her daughter at her bedside after a valiant battle with cancer.
She is reunited in Heaven with her daughter, Kristin M. Brodin, who died in December 2014.
Gail is survived by her three sons, James F. Brodin, Jr. of Paxton, Mark E. Brodin and his long-time girlfriend Michele Scricco of Worcester, and Derek J. Brodin of Winthrop; two daughters, Kimberly R. Catalina of Worcester, and Kerri L. Boyd and her husband John with whom she lived; a sister, Dorothy Moreschi of Worcester; fourteen grandchildren, John Boyd, Jr., Matthew Boyd, Nicholas Boyd, Dylan Brodin, Dannielle Russo, Anthony Catalina, Tyler Catalina, Jack Brodin, Reese Brodin, Kate Brodin, Kelsey Brodin, Haley Brodin, Tayla Pingalore, and Ryan Brodin; two great grandchildren, Avie and Gabriella; many nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Edward and Rose M. (Tomasetta) Bean and has lived here all her life. She graduated high school in Worcester and received a certificate in dental assisting from Quinsigamond Community College.
Gail worked for many years as a waitress at the Italian Kitchen. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church and was previously a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. She enjoyed traveling and was blessed to have the opportunity to visit Aruba seven times.
Her greatest accomplishment and pride were her children and grandchildren. She was sure to attend all their events, from ball games to recitals. Throughout her life there may have been challenges along with victories, but she made certain by the grace of God, that her family experienced the joy and love she shared.

A Memorial Mass will be on Saturday, June 24, at 10 AM in Our Lady of The Rosary Church, 25 Fales Street, Worcester.
There are no calling hours.
