Julie Marie Cariglia

Julie M. Cariglia, 37, of Holden, MA passed away unexpectedly on June 15, 2023, at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. She was the beloved daughter of Linda Cariglia of Worcester and David Cariglia of Holden and his wife Kristen.

She leaves a brother, Jeffrey Cariglia, a nephew, Damian Cariglia, maternal grandmother, Nancy Pakula, many aunts and uncles and cousins, and her beloved Pug, Rosina. Julie was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, John Pakula, and her paternal grandparents, Anthony and Irene Cariglia.

Julie attended American University in Washington DC and Clark University and is a graduate of Clark. She worked there after in Washington DC for the US Election Commission before returning to the area. Most recently she worked at St. Vincent's Hospital. 

Julie shared her creativity in both her artwork and her cooking. She also enjoyed being outside, whether she was going on a hike or spending time with her beloved dogs.  She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. 

A period of calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 21, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the
MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Julie’s funeral service will follow calling hours at 1:00 PM on Wednesday in the funeral home.  Burial will be private.
