Michael J Flaherty Jr

Michael J. Flaherty Jr. 80 of Holden, formerly of Hyde Park Ma died Friday April 17, 2020 at UMass Hospital in Worcester. Born in Brookline Ma, he was the son of the late Michael and Bridget (Hernon) Flaherty. 

Michael was a graduate of Bentley College with a BS in Accounting.  Michael was a Corporate Field Agent for the IRS retiring 1996 and taught accounting at Newbury College. He was extremely proud of his Irish heritage.  He loved all sports, especially the New England Patriots and was fond of his stamp collection that he worked so hard building.

Michael is survived by his son Michael Flaherty III, two daughters, Stacey Flaherty and Stephanie Braley and her husband Michael.  Michael also leaves his beloved grandchildren Kaitlyn, Shane, and Amy Flaherty, and Madison, Shannon, and Patrick Braley.  Besides his parents, Michael was pre-deceased by his two brothers, Bernard and Patrick (Tommy) Flaherty and his niece Suzanne Flaherty.
